Willis Eugene Allen, Sr. was born March 26, 1947 in Richmond Heights, Missouri to James Truman Allen and Odasee Louvenia (Lewis) Allen. He passed away May 16, 2022 in Norman, Oklahoma.
He was enlisted and served in the United States Army. Willis met Gloria Maxine Walker and they were married November 3, 1973 in St. Louis, Missouri. They adopted a son, Willis Eugene Allen Jr. and a daughter, Tiffany Allen Canava.
Willis’s career was working for General Motors for 38 years, both in Missouri and Oklahoma in the paint department. He retired as a paint superintendent in 2006. Some of the things Willis enjoyed were watching the ESPN channel (anything baseball, football, and basketball), playing the casino slots, and bargain shopping. He also enjoyed bowling and was in a bowling league in Missouri and Oklahoma, winning a trophy for high score. He also liked to travel but what he enjoyed the most in life was just being with his family!
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Louvenia; and brothers, James (JT), and Harvey. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gloria; son, Willis “Gene” Allen, Jr. of Norman, OK; daughter, Tiffany Canava and her husband, Joseph of Corpus Christi, TX; brother, Anthony Allen Sr. and his wife, Adrienne of Bastrop, TX; grandchildren, Nicole Wimberly, Jayden Allen; great grandchild, Izelli Lemmons; nieces; nephews; and other family members and friends.
