Vera M. Breit, 95, of Norman passed away on April 13, 2017. She was born on April 3, 1922 in Hanston, KS to Robert Harrison Potter and Beatrice Ellen (Miller) Potter.
Vera moved from Kansas to Norman in 1945. She married George Breit on March 3, 1944 in San Diego, California. Vera worked as a sales clerk at TG&Y on Campus Corner as well as JCPenney’s. Her hobbies and interests included gardening and going to the casino. Vera was a humble and selfless woman with a heart full of love. She spent her life anonymously donating to and supporting many charities, too many to count. She was passionate in helping children and her community but never wanted recognition.
Vera is survived by one sister, Jennie Tillitson of Ransom, KS; one brother, Ross Potter and wife Phyllis of Ransom, KS; eight nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. God-daughter Linda Dill and husband Claud of Norman (and family), Erin Yeaman and husband Brian of Norman (and family), Debbie Warren of OKC (and family). She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Beatrice Potter and her husband George Breit.
