Treva Lynn Perry, age 57, of Norman, Oklahoma, the daughter of Aaron and Carol Ann Barnes, was born on March 18, 1961 in Clinton, Oklahoma. She passed away September 4, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma.
Treva attended public schools in Healdton, OK and Purcell, OK, where she graduated from high school. She attended Rose State College, Midwest City, OK receiving a degree in Radiology Technology. Treva began her professional career at Baptist Medical Center as an X-Ray Technician.
She married Steve Perry in 1985 and they moved to New York State where they resided for 20 years. Treva became a Certified MRI Technologist in New York. She worked for Vantage Care until her passing. She always wanted the best of care for her patients whom she loved and served with a compassionate heart.
In 2002, Steve and Treva had the joy of adoption. They became parents of Mi Aaron Emma Perry. Emma was and continues to be a blessing to the Perry family.
Treva is survived by: daughter, Emma Perry; parents, Aaron and Carol Barnes; brother, Kevin Barnes; several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Treva was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in 2015 and was in the care of Stephenson Cancer Center from the start of her diagnosis until the time of her death. She was grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff at Stephenson. Treva was a true cancer warrior and hoped her treatment would result in a cure for this hideous disease. She made the decision to participate in several chemotherapy trials to help find a cure for ovarian cancer.
