Tamara Isabell Clerveau Blackford went to be with her Heavenly Father on August 5th, 2019. She passed quietly in her sleep at home. Born March 4th, 1999 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to Rosanette Clerveau. Tami became an orphan following her mother's death. She was adopted in early 2003 by Andy & Sherrie of Norman, OK where she resided until her death.
Tami, with her child like heart, was truly loved by her family and all who knew her. Tami loved participating in Special Olympics as apart of the Norman North team. Tami was blessed to be taught by THE BEST special needs teachers in the world. She attended Wilson elementary, Alcott middle school, and Norman North high school. She was learning life skills and took special pride in clearing the table at home. She loved her teachers and friends at school and church. She loved music with a beat and dribbling a ball.
Tami is preceded in death by her uncle Michael Scott and cousin Isaac Blackford. She is survived by her parents Sherrie & Andy Blackford; sisters Abigail Blackford, Hannah Blackford, Fulmaya Blackford, Nisha Blackford; brothers Zachery Blackford and his wife Abi and their sons Michael, Sammy, and Oliver, brother Tim Blackford and his wife Mary and brother Juan Blackford. She is also survived by grandparents Hubert and Carolyn Blackford and Michael and Linda Scott as well as nine uncles, ten aunts and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Trinity Baptist Church (801 N. Peters, Norman, OK) adoption fund marked in memory of Tami Blackford or the Norman North Power Pack Special Olympics team (1809 Stubbeman Ave, Norman, OK 73069).
