Robert Keaton Marriott of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on February 25, 2025. Keaton was born in Norman on September 12, 1990 to loving parents, Robert and Rebecca Marriott, and his sister, Steffan. He was a beautiful and joyful boy.
Keaton, known as “KiKi” back then, had a full childhood. He loved his friends and often had a herd of boys at the house. He participated in cub scouts, soccer, baseball, basketball, football, track, cross-country and golf. He enjoyed sailing, playing the guitar, and skateboarding. He was active in his church programs and attended three mission trips. Keaton graduated from Norman High School in 2009.
In his adult life, Keaton was fortunate to live many beautiful places including Colorado, Florida, California, and New Mexico. He enjoyed hiking majestic mountains, snowboarding, working out, and being with friends. He loved to drive and was always on the move. He was artistic and would write profoundly honest poetry.
Keaton was a helper at heart. His compassion compelled him to help many people in need to obtain scholarships to rehab and he aspired to become a patient transporter. His ultimate dream was to open a sober living house to guide and comfort people struggling. He had an enormous heart that shined through his being, even through difficult times.
Keaton lived his life with intensity and resilience. He never met a ladder he couldn’t fall off or a car he couldn’t wreck. He gave the biggest and strongest bear hugs and could rock an awesome man-bun. He had a proclivity for finding stray dogs…and people. He always needed them to have a home.
Keaton deeply loved his son, Mason. They treasured spending time together, especially with a pick -up game of basketball, video games, or a simple game of catch. He was so proud of the person Mason is and is becoming.
Keaton is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Margaret Marriott, maternal grandparents James "Sandy" and Ruth McClure, namesake and proclaimed grandmother Sister Mary Frances “Keet,” uncles John Steven “Reno” McClure and Ralph Marriott, and cousins Jeff McClure and Brett Patterson. He is survived by his son, Mason Marriott; his parents, Robert and Rebecca Marriott; his sister, Steffan Spain and her husband Will, and their children Shepherd, Shea, and Noelle; his girlfriend, Mattie Williams and her children Chance and Kenzie; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family whom he loved deeply.
He was loved always. He will be loved forever.
Following Keaton’s passing, it was discovered he had an undiagnosed severe heart condition, rare in young people. To this end, the family encourages you and your loved ones to get screened.
