Randy Lewis Brown was born on January 6, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri to Wiley Lewis Brown and Celia May (Toney) Brown. He passed away on May 28, 2021, in Norman, OK.
After graduation from Norman High, Randy attended college at the University of Oklahoma where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1977. In 1979, he opened the doors of General Motors in OKC. From payroll to security Randy was a “Jack of all trades” throughout his career. He earned his master’s degree in criminal justice in 1981, giving him more opportunities throughout his remaining career. Randy retired on September 11, 2001.
Randy’s family was always his motivation, but he always followed his heart and instinct. He was a man of compassion, understanding, and forgiveness. Randy would go out of his way and drive all over the metro to pay bills just so he could catch up with everyone. When he was not socializing, he loved watching his Sooners football and the news. Everyone was always up to date on the news when Randy was around. He never met a stranger in life. He was a man of opinions, but he was one of the most genuine people you have ever met.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Brown of Norman, OK; daughter, Candace Dragg and Chris of Norman, OK; two sons, Andrew Brown and Lyric of Washington, OK and Ben Brown and Julia of Washington, OK; sister, Janice Maddox and Dennis of Norman, OK; three grandchildren, Joscelyn Harper, Oliver Naden and Greyson Dragg.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Lewis Brown and Celia May (Toney) Brown.
