Randall L. Bray

Beloved Husband, Father, and Friend

Randall (Randy) L. Bray, 69, passed away on January 8, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 22, 1955, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Bill and Reina Bray, Randy led a life filled with purpose, kindness, and a deep love for his family and community.

Randy moved to Norman at a young age with his family and graduated from Norman High School. At Norman High, he met the love of his life, Debbie (D’Amico) Bray. They later married on August 15, 1975, in Norman and built a beautiful life together, raising two children, Amber and Trent.

Randy was known for his work ethic and dedication. He began his career at the University of Oklahoma as a master carpenter in 1980, where he worked for 17 years. He then continued his career with the Oklahoma Correctional Industries as a master carpenter for 18 years. After 35 years of service to the state, Randy retired but remained active, working part-time with the Department of Corrections until his passing.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Randall will be remembered for his unwavering compassion, sharp wit, and deep love for his family. He was a devoted family man and Christian, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. An avid fisherman and hunter, Randy ensured the family freezer was always full of venison. For the past 20 years, he fished competitively with his best friend, Bill. Randy had a deep appreciation for big band music and was a talented musician. His artistic talents were evident in the many creative pieces he made for his home. He was also a devoted Oklahoma Sooners fan, particularly passionate about softball and football.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Billy Bray and Bobby Bray.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; his daughter, Amber Bray of Bainbridge Island, Washington, and her spouse, Michael Ton; his son, Trent Bray, and his spouse, Ashley Gourd, of Sapulpa; four cherished grandchildren, Rhyan Bray of Sapulpa, Nova Bray of Bainbridge Island, Washington, Alexzandrea Bray of Sapulpa, and Paloma Bray of Bainbridge Island, Washington; his sisters-in-law, Judy Bray of Norman and Patricia Bray of Georgia; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Beckett.
