Phillip Nelson Kingery of Mangum, OK was born on September 1, 1936 in Enid, OK to Elwood Perry Kingery and Vera (Nelson) Kingery. He joined the love of his life, Dotty, in heaven on March 29, 2018.
Phillip and Dotty were united in marriage on June 7, 1958 at the First United Methodist Church in Mangum, OK. This union was a picture of what a marriage should be that spanned 59 years. Phillip graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine in 1966. His M.D. degree allowed him to serve families for 50+ years in Mangum and Altus, OK. He was an Oklahoma Board Certified Physician and served on the Oklahoma Board of Medical Examiners. Phillip and Dotty were longtime and active members of the First Baptist Church of Mangum, OK. He had a lifelong love of cars, motorcycles and airplanes. He cared deeply for his family and one of his greatest joys in life was spending time with them. He was especially proud of his grandchildren. His devotion to his faith, his family, his patients and his community was the hallmark of his life.
