Pauline Hines, 95, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister was called to her eternal resting place on April 27, 2021. She entered this world on March 23, 1926 in Lydalisk, AR, born to James and Blanche Green. She grew up in Fox, Arkansas where she attended school. She married Joseph Leslie Hines after he returned from WWII in 1946 and the two were blessed with two daughters and five sons. She operated an upholstery business for many years and was well known for covering boat seats, furniture and more.
Lovingly referred to as "Polly", she loved her dapple-gray horse Charlie that she rode to school. She enjoyed fishing and hosting fish fries at large family reunions, as well as gardening, canning, sewing and quilting. She was especially known for her ability to grow beautiful African Violets and extraordinarily tall sunflowers. Simply put, she loved working with her hands. What she loved most of all was having her family with her. Holiday gatherings, visits from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending time with her friends were some of her happiest times. The family was competitive when it came to playing a game of moon and train dominoes. Polly loved the Lord and faithfully attended the First Baptist Church of Tuttle for over 50 years and taught Sunday school. She was known by her church family for her sweet spirit and always winning the Mother's Day award for raising the most children.
Polly is preceded in death by her parents; husband Leslie; sisters Nova May, Bonnie Bell, Jimmie Gammill; her son Joseph Terry Hines; daughter in law Sandy Hines and son in law Hank Elling.
