Pauline Agnes (Sendelbach) Hanger was born in Norman, OK to Hugo and Theresa (Bruel) Sendelbach on JaPauline Agnes Hanger was born on January 14, 1937 in Washington, OK. She was welcomed home by Our Lord and Savior on August 29, 2016 with her husband and sister by her side. Pauline was the first of four daughters born to Hugo and Theresa (Bruehl) Sendelbach. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1955 and worked at Central State Hospital in the finance office before marrying James E. Hanger on February 18, 1958. When her youngest was eight years old she went to work for the Cleveland County Assessor’s office. She continued working there until she retired in 1995. Following retirement, she was active in volunteer work at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Norman. She supported missionaries, the needy, the poor, and the sick, just to name a few. She was always one to have a quick smile and a kind word for everyone.
She loved her husband, her sons, her sisters, her granddaughters, and her many friends that are too many to list. She expressed that her happiest moments were watching the many endeavors of her sons and husband.
She lives on through James Edward Hanger who will always be with her in heart and spirit. Her three loving sons: James Edward Hanger Jr. of Norman, David Mark Hanger married to Karin Hanger of Clarksville, MD, and Steven Hugo Hanger of Slaughterville. She also lives on through her sisters Ann Gabrish, Mary Morrison, and Susan McCord, brother-in-law Adib Farsoun, Rosemarie Smith (Farsoun), John Farsoun, Susan Farsoun, and many special and good cousins. She cherished her time with all friends and family. She will be missed by: her three granddaughters, Kristen Hanger, Theresa Hanger, Victoria Hanger and her great-granddaughter Kloè Hanger-Babbit. She was preceded in death by Marylina Hanger, Clarence Noah Hanger and Maryline Farsoun, Theresa Sendelbach, Hugo Sendelbach and Fabiana Hanger.

Pauline worked as the Assistant Cleveland County Assessor for more than 20 years. After retiring from the County Assessor’s office she worked as a school secretary for ten years and ran the St. Joseph Thrift Store, also for ten years. Pauline and her husband Jim were active members of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Pauline ran the funeral dinners there for over ten years. Pauline loved doing crossword puzzles, reading, sewing, and working in her flower beds.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by: her husband Jim of the home; sons: Jim Hanger, Jr. of Norman, Steve hanger of Norman, and David Mark Hanger and wife Karin of Silver Springs, Maryland; sisters: Ann Gabrish of Norman, Mary Morrison of Noble, and Susan McCord of Kansas City; grandchildren: Kristen Hanger, Theresa Hanger, and Victoria Hanger; and great-granddaughter: Khloe Hanger.
