Paula Jean Meyer, our loving wife, mother, sister, gaga, aunt, and friend joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven on Friday, April 16th, 2021. She was born on August 19th, 1954 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Don and Truda Hines. When she was nine years old, her family moved to Edmond, and she graduated from Edmond High School in 1972. She continued her education at Central State University in Edmond, earning her degree in music education.
Paula married Jeff Meyer on May 8th, 1976 at First Baptist Church in Moore. She briefly taught in the Norman Public School system before having her children; Matthew in 1982, and Melissa in 1984. In 1988, she taught music at New Life Preschool in Moore, before becoming the music teacher at Houchin Elementary. She taught at Houchin until her retirement in May of 2014.
Paula loved her Heavenly Father, her family, music, football, and her pets. She played piano, organ, keyboard, and sang regularly while attending First Baptist Church of Moore and Emmaus Baptist Church.
