Patsy Jean Mize

Patsy “Pat” Jean Mize was born on December 10, 1938 to Homer Ellis McCalip and Ollie (Ward) McCalip. She was welcomed by her Lord and Savior March 24, 2024.

Pat married the love of her life, Delbert Mize, on May 10, 1957. After their wedding she went to California where they lived for a time. They returned to live in Oklahoma City, and Norman before settling in Noble. To this union were added two girls and two boys. She was very proud of her children. She loved her family dearly. Pat was an excellent housekeeper.

She was the happiest being with her family and church family. She was a faithful member of the Symmes Street Holiness Church. She enjoyed her yearly Ladies Retreat trips to Branson, with her daughters and sister Lovie. She loved attending revival and visiting other churches.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Mize; parents, Homer and Ollie McCalip; daughter, Karen Searcy; brothers, Leroy McCalip, James McCalip, Floyd McCalip, Kenny McCalip; sisters, Leota Powers, Lovie Drain, Jerldine Parnell, and Ruby Mize.

She is survived by her sons, Farren Mize and wife Wilma, Darren Mize and wife Tammy; daughter, Sharon Searcy and husband Rickey; grandchildren, Brent Searcy, Javonia Searcy, Chandra Lundy, Derrick Mize, Tamara Monroe, Starla Crawford, Lesley Poulin, Sheryl Edwards, Tyler Searcy, Kyle Searcy, Bradly Searcy; 24 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 28, 2024, Tribute Memorial Care, 708 24th Ave NW, Event Center, Norman, OK. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, March 29th, Trinity Holiness Church, 103 N. Van Buren Ave., Blanchard, OK. Interment to follow, Noble IOOF Cemetery.
