Patrick J. O’Leary, 22, of Norman passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Patrick was loved dearly by his family, friends, co-workers and everyone with whom he came in contact throughout his life.
He was born in Salina, Kansas on February 14, 1994 to Shawn and Renee (Lampe) O’Leary. Patrick has three brothers: Brian, Colin and Luke.
Patrick was a proud graduate of Norman North High School in 2012. He played baseball for NNHS throughout his high school years, but he also loved to play basketball, tennis, racquetball or any competitive sport. Patrick attended Kansas State University and might have been one of the greatest Wildcat football fans of all time. Family has requested in honor of Patrick that family and friends wear something “K-State Purple.” He worked for Oklahoma Fidelity Bank in recent months. Patrick had also worked for the City of Norman Westwood Golf Course, Republic Bank, Michael’s and the Optimist Club of Norman. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Patrick had one of the most beautiful and happy smiles. He was there for his family and friends when they needed him. Patrick loved animals, especially Jadie and Beau. Patrick also loved his God and his Catholic faith.
Survivors include his parents, Shawn and Renee O’Leary of Norman; his brother, Brian O’Leary and wife Kira and nephew Kendrix of Norman; his brother, Colin O’Leary and wife Veronica of Oklahoma City; his brother, Luke O’Leary of Norman; Grandparents Dwaine and Louise Lampe of Spearville, KS; Grandfather Jerry O’Leary of Santa Rosa, CA; his aunt, Nannette and Lee Pogue of Dodge City, KS; his uncle, Lawrence Lampe and wife Tammy of Dodge City, KS; his aunt, Shelley McDonald and husband Stuart of Ness City, KS; his uncle, Mark Lampe and wife Anne of Scott City, KS; his uncle, Ray O’Leary and wife May of Quinton, VA; his uncle, Jay O’Leary and wife Vicki of Petaluma, CA; his aunt, Peggy Jones and husband Skeeter of San Francisco, CA; his aunt, Linda Motta of Hickory, NC and many loving cousins.
He was preceded in death by Grandmother Jeanne O’Leary and Aunt Penny Allenfort.
Vigil prayer service will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Norman. Memorial Mass service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Norman. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tribute Memorial Care of Norman. There will be no burial service at this time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to United Way of Norman. Condolences may be shared at www.tribute.care .
