Mary Ann (Parker) Walk of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at the age of 77. She was born May 12, 1945 to Col (Ret) Edgar and Helen Parker, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She graduated from Winter Park High School, Florida in 1964 and from Judson College in Alabama in 1969.
Mary Ann married Victor “Rocky” Walk II of Tell City, Indiana in 1971. During Victor’s military and civil service career, they lived in Vicenza, Italy; Morocco; Heidelberg and Augsburg, Germany and in Fairbanks, Alaska, as well as many states along the US east coast. Together they had two sons, Victor Walk III and David Walk.
Mary Ann had a lifelong affinity for animals, caring for horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and various other pets. She donated regularly to many animal shelters and animal-related charitable organizations.
Mary Ann is survived by her son Victor Walk and his spouse Heather Gray of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her son David Walk, her sister Harriet and her former spouse Victor Walk II.
