Margaret Adele Eastwood

October 26, 1930 — August 21, 2017

A Celebration of Life for Margaret Adele Eastwood, 86 of Miami, Oklahoma will be held at 12:00 pm Monday September 4th, 2017, at Providence Road Church in Norman, Oklahoma. Margaret took her last breath on August 21st, 2017 in the presence of family singing “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” and “All The Little Loon Loons”.

Margaret was born October 26th, 1930 in Yoakum, Texas to John Anderson and Etta Mae Bush. After graduating from high school and attending a women’s business school, Margaret met and married her soul mate Louis David Eastwood on February 16, 1951 in Plainview, TX. In the early 1950’s they travelled the country as gospel singers/preacher, before moving to Lubbock, TX in the late 1950’s. They later moved their family to Miami, OK where they owned two nursing homes, Eastwood Manor and Nursing Center of Miami. During this time, she received her license as an LPN from N.E.O. in 1968. Margaret cherished her role as the matriarch and caregiver for her family and patients. After selling the nursing homes, David and Margaret retired to their property on Monkey Island at Grand Lake, OK and later moved to Tulsa, OK to be with their daughter and grandchildren. In addition to caring for others, Margaret enjoyed traveling to see U.S. Monuments, National Parks and museums with family, attending estate sales, watching college football (especially OU and her grandson’s team Friends University), singing to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, talking with loved ones about life, and tending her beautiful gardens. She will be forever missed and remembered by her family and friends for her sweet spirit and her heart of gold.

Margaret was welcomed into the Kingdom by her Heavenly Father, where she is reunited with her beloved daughter, Karen Elizabeth Eastwood Flanagan; parents John Anderson and Etta Mae Bush; and siblings John Anderson Jr. “Jack” Bush, Mildred Boyd, Earl Bush, Edward Bush, Philip Bush, Billy Bush, and Gayle Bush.

Margaret is survived by her husband and best friend Louis David Eastwood of Miami, OK; son Jimmy Dan Bush and wife Linda of Miami, OK; granddaughter Gretchen Clark and husband Patrick along with their children Preston and Chloe of Norman, OK; granddaughter Erika Flanagan and fiancée Cassie Gravlee of Lewisville, TX; grandson Luke Flanagan and wife Jessica along with their children Konnor, Kelton and Karson of Tulsa, OK; brother George Bush and wife Leanna of Cedar Park, TX; brother Bobby C.
