Leroy Berry Jr.

Leroy Berry Jr. was born August 9, 1956 in Orange, California to Leroy Berry Sr. and Christine (Burton). He passed away with family by his side March 26, 2023.

He was in the United States Air Force from 1976 to 1980, and the Reserves from 1981 to 1984. He graduated college at the University of Texas with an engineering degree. Leroy married the love of his life, Allie (Bailey) October 31, 1980 in Elmore City, Oklahoma. They had a son, Tyler and daughter, Heather. He worked for the Carrier corporation for 15 years and Johnson Control for 10 years before retiring in 2021.

Leroy enjoyed playing golf, traveling with Allie, boating at lake Eufaula, reading field & stream magazines, grilling outdoors with the family, and OU football games. He also enjoyed going with Tyler to Bass Pro Shop followed by eating at Long John Silver’s. He also enjoyed his time with his granddaughter, Lauren.

Leroy was preceded in death by his father and sister, Gwendolyn Morin. He is survived by his wife, Allie of Norman, OK; son, Tyler Berry and wife Morgan of Norman, OK; daughter, Heather Berry of Norman, OK; granddaughter, Lauren; mother, Christine Berry of Eufaula, OK; brother, Steven Berry and wife Sharon of Brighton, CO; sister, Patricia McGourty and husband Bill of Quinton, OK; and a host of family, and friends.
