Leigh Ann Terry passed away quietly after an eight-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was home with her family by her side. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt. 

Leigh Ann Terry was born in Sherman, TX on December 16, 1958, to Peggy Presley Terry and Lawrence Terry.

Her family moved to Norman, OK in May of 1971 where she graduated from Norman High in 1977. Leigh Ann baby sat many children during her life and loved all of them dearly. They all called her Annie. Later she returned to Sherman, TX for a few years. While there she was Baptized at the First Christian Church where she was attending. In 1980 she returned to Norman, OK and attended dental assistant school. She then went to work for Dr. Kent in Norman, OK. She later moved to Crossroad Family Dentistry, where she worked for the last 36 years. She was still working there up to the time of her passing.

Leigh Ann had a great love for animals and leaves behind two dogs and one cat. She loved to deer hunt, go fishing, and most of all loved to go on vacation in Colorado every year with her family.

The family wishes to thank the Dr’s and all of the staff at Crossroads Family Dentistry for being there for her during her fight, her special friend for many years Mark Reynolds for his love and friendship, and her former husband James Parkey (whom she married in 2010) for being with her during her fight. 

Leigh Ann was preceded in death by her grandparents, her uncle, and her aunts.

Leigh Ann is survived by her parents, Peggy and Lawrence Terry; her brother, Larry Terry; her nephew, Josh Terry and wife Jenni; her nieces Stephanie Terry, and Aspen Terry; and her great nieces and nephews, Ryan Terry, Blakely Terry, Carson Turner, Audrey Turner, as well as several cousins and an uncle from Sherman, TX. 

Leigh Ann’s family wishes to thank Frontier Hospice for the care she received.

A remembrance celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
