Katie Mae Blockston

February 17, 1925 — September 26, 2021

Katie Mae Blockston, joined her beloved husband, James Henry, and son James Allen in eternal peace on September 26, 2021. Katie was born February 18, 1925, or so she thought. She learned later in life that her actual birthday was February 17, 1925 and decided to celebrate both days annually. She was a resident of Norman, Oklahoma. Katie, lover of cats, good food, and conversation was a longtime resident of Bridgeton, Missouri where she lived with her husband James for over forty years until his passing in 1992. In her 96 years she was a devoted daughter, sister, friend, mother, and aunt. Katie was also a member of the Fee Fee Baptist Church in Bridgton where she left behind many precious friends when she moved home to Norman to be close to family in 2019. She is also reunited in Heaven with her mother, Mamie Arzella and father Luther Morgan Masters along with all of her siblings Minnie Vera, Jesse Luther, Ira Kay “Jack”, Dora “Betty”, Gracie “Grace”, Herbert “Herb”, George R. “Dick”, Ruby “Joy”, and Hazel Berniece. Katie is survived by her nephew, Jerry and his wife Cindy Masters of Norman, Oklahoma; niece, Gail Corbly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, niece, Sherrie and her husband Roy Culbertson of Godley, Texas; nephew, Don and his wife Janice Masters of Norman, Oklahoma, nephew, David and his wife Diana Masters of Los Angeles, California, nephew, Larry Masters of Mills River, North Carolina, nephew, Phillip Vasile of New Braunfels, Texas; and niece and honorary daughter, Maria Masters of Scottsdale, Arizona. Katie’s family sends their warmest regards to her family at Arbor House in Norman, Oklahoma.
