“Butch” John Thomas Masters, 73, passed away at home on December 7,2021, in the company of loved ones from a rapid but short cancer illness. He was born July 25, 1948, in Norman, Oklahoma to Floyd John and Lucille Armstrong Masters. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara Siekman and her husband Ken. Butch is survived by his sister, Becky Terrell and husband Bill of the home and several cousins. Butch was a loving “soul” who never met a stranger, loved “chasing” trains, looking for cows and collecting tractors. His life on earth taught each of us about the simplicity of life… As per Dr. Seuss “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” In lieu of flowers, and for his love of trains, the family suggests a memorial to the Oklahoma Railway Museum, 3400 N.E. Grand Blvd, OKC 73111. Graveside services celebrating his life will be 2:00pm Tuesday December 14, 2021, at Noble IOOF Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.tribute.care.
