Joe D. Ruppert

Joe Douglas Ruppert was born August 30, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Bill J. Ruppert and Lorita "June" (Cavett)

Ruppert. He passed away October 23, 2023 his loving family by his side.


He graduated from Newcastle High School. Joe started working in the auto recycling business from the time he could drive, following in his dad’s footsteps and eventually taking over the business as owner/operator, working in the business for 55 years. Joe found his niche in late model trucks and enjoyed fine vintage cars. One of many highlights in his life was attending the first ever high-end car auction (Barrett-Jackson) in New Orleans, September 2023. He was a member of ARA and was President of OK Hotline for a of number years.


Joe married his love, Peggy Anne. (Tucker) in Oklahoma City, OK in 1990. Joe and Peggy worked together in the 2nd generation salvage business ever since. He enjoyed going to concerts, Thunder games, OU football, and OU basketball. Joe and Peggy even went to the OU/Texas game this year. One of the things he enjoyed most was spending time with his family and dear friends.


Survived by Peggy, wife; Janis Ruppert, sister; Lora Moss, step-daughter; grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
