Joann Bielefeldt Wagner

JoAnn Bielefeldt Wagner was born May 6, 1937 in Waterloo, Iowa to Arthur Jay Bielefeldt and C. Marcyea Bielefeldt (Weeks). She passed away August 5, 2021.
She married the love of her life, Irvin Leroy Wagner June 7, 1959 in South Waterloo, Iowa. JoAnn earned her BS and RN degrees from the University of Iowa and was a public health nurse for many years. She has lived in the Norman community since 1969 and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. If you were to ask JoAnn what her interests were, she would say, it was the care and support of family and friends.
Jo, as she was commonly called by her family, had a remarkable life filling her family and friends with caring love and spiritual devotion. She was a fantastic and supporting wife, mother, grandmother, friend to so many, a nurse helping countless people, and a servant of her Christian belief.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Irvin of 62 years; daughters, Brenda Wagner of Norman, Janet Gorton and husband James of Norman, Karen Wright and spouse Sally Wright of Overland Park, KS; grandsons, Josh Gorton, Jayson Gorton, Lucas Wright; granddaughter, Sarah Wright; brother, Bill Bielefeldt of Fort Collins, CO; sister, Jean Lea Bielefeldt of Milford, DE; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
