Jerry Don Price, 68, son of Alvie and Lura Mae Price was born on August 7, 1952 in Norman, OK. He left this world on March 10, 2021 at a local hospital.
Jerry attended and graduated from Norman High Highschool where he was a member of the band. While in school he also worked at Wacker’s Department Store, in the Shoe Department. After graduating he was employed at Scovil VW Motors. He married the love of his life, Martha May 27, 1978. Together they made their home, family, and life here in Norman. Jerry worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the City of Norman for 37 years until he retired in 2014. He was also a dedicated and devoted member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he loved his part-time job after retirement doing various jobs. Jerry enjoyed camping with family, bowling and was a part of the Pinsplitters Bowling League for over 30 years. He also enjoyed wood working, antiquing, especially telephones and eagles, playing softball, and coaching little league. He was a huge fan of his OU Sooners, St. Louis Cardinals, and Nascar. He was passionate for “being a pawpaw to his Ramsay,” and loving and caring for his “Grand-Dogs,” and serving at his church.
Jerry was proceeded in death by his parents. Survived by Martha, wife of 42 years of Norman, Daughter Dawn and Michael Evans of Inola, Son Jay and Allie of Norman, Granddaughter Ramsay Evans of Inola, Sister JoNell and Gary Lunow of Moore, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request that a donation be made to Immanuel Baptist Church of Norman Building Fund.
