Helen Eileen Scott

Helen Eileen Scott, also known as Scotty, passed away on July 27, 2023, at the age of 101 in Norman, Oklahoma. Born on August 7, 1921, in Plattsburgh, Missouri, Helen was the daughter of Annie Parr Elliott and Bryan C Elliott. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Anne Wilson of Anchorage, Alaska, and Betty Jo Moore of Petaluma, California, and Sue Langley of Lipan, Texas.

Helen is survived by her daughter Janis Nees and husband Frank of Norman, Oklahoma, two cherished grandchildren, Stefanie Thomas and husband Andrew of Norman, Oklahoma and Scott Nees of Norman, Oklahoma as well as two great-grandchildren, Cory Thomas and Issac Thomas.

Throughout her life, Helen worked mainly in the oil and gas industry. She had a passion for ballroom dancing and formed many lasting friendships through her love of dance. With an indomitable spirit, Helen came close to reaching her 102nd birthday.

In accordance with her wishes, there will not be a service to commemorate Helen's life. Her family and friends will find solace in their memories of her and the impact she had on their lives.

May Helen Eileen Scott find eternal rest in the embrace of her Lord Jesus and the ones who have gone before her.
