H.E. Smith Jr.

H.E. Smith Jr., 96, of Norman, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022. He was born November 14, 1925, in Hollis, Oklahoma, to Howard Ephram (Jimmy) Smith and Una May (Wade) McWhorter (Nanny). He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1943-1946. H.E. married his love Mozelle on Dec. 25, 1948, in Gould, OK. Together they raised four children. H.E. was a man who loved his sports, yardwork, bowling, and reading. He worked in the truck driving profession for more than 26 years.

H.E. was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Una May (Nanny); his stepmother, Beula May Smith (Boo-Boo); his wife, Mozelle; his daughter, Debra Hector; his sisters, Joy Matthews and Polly Kelly.

He is survived by his two sons, Randy Smith and Fred Smith and wife Shelley Saenz; his daughter, LaDonna (Smith) Finch and husband Tommy; son-in-law, John Hector; his two brothers-in-laws, Sonny and Pee Wee Faulks and Bobby and Joy Faulks; his four grandchildren, April Perry and husband Joe, Angie Hector and Denise Meyer, Jarrod Baxter and Tim Baxter and Amanda Vollmer; his four great-grandchildren, Jake Perry, Ethan Perry, Dillon Baxter, and Coleman Baxter; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
