Gordon Van Zandt Beard

Gordon Van Zandt Beard was born on December 27, 1960, to Orville S Beard and Betty Beall Beard. He Passed away peacefully with family members by his side on December 15, 2024. Gordon was baptized in the Lutheran Church before his first marriage. He embraced his newfound faith and was very active in all the churches to which he belonged.

Gordon was a loving son, brother, husband, dad, and granddad. He loved so many things, such as spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, listening to music, contra and folk dancing, seeing movies and following the Mets and the Dallas Cowboys. He had a good sense of humor and was very patient.

Gordon had four degrees in mechanical engineering (BS and MS), accounting, and an MBA. He was employed with PCI Engineering Solutions. He was a problem solver and dedicated employee.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Karen Khoury; two sons, Spencer Beard and wife Elizabeth, and Miles Beard and wife, Sierra; two grandchildren, Israel Beard and Evelyn Beard; one sister Kelly Beard-Tittone; ex-wife, Melodie Beard; niece Heather Tittone; and Rachel Arnold, stepdaughter. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents and two half-sisters, Johnnie and Donnie.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Tribute Memorial Care at 4300 W Indian Hills Road, Norman, OK 73072. Condolences can be shared at www.tribute.care. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Gordon’s love and devotion to his family, a memorial fund has been established for his beloved grandchildren.
