Garrett Cox

Garrett Matthew Cox, age 25 of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday morning, June 30th, 2020. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 6th, 2020 at 1 PM at Bethel Baptist Church 1717 W. Lindsey St. Norman, OK 73069. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5th, 2020 from 2-4 pm at Tribute Memorial Care, 708 24th Ave. NW Suite 300, Norman, OK 73069.

Garrett M. Cox, was born October 27th, 1994. He’s the son of Melissa Dannell Cox, and grandson of Foy and Retha Cox. He grew up in Norman, Ok, moved to Texas and graduated from Western Hills High School in Ft. Worth, Texas in 2012. While in high school he was in JCC and the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy on September 26th, 2013 and while at his 1st duty station he met the love of his life Brooke Vincent of Fernandina Beach, Florida. They were married on July 5th, 2014 and together had three children.

Garrett was a Master at Arms, 2nd Class Petty Officer. While serving he received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Warfare medal.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Jamathan Cox; great grandparents Kenneth and Mary Russell and Foy and Lula Cox.

Garrett is survived by his wife, Brooke; son, Logan Vincent; daughters Emberly and Wenona Cox; mother, Melissa Cox; brothers, Mason and Coty Walker; Sisters, Emma Langbein, Madalynn Vanhoy, Hannah Walker and Gracie Walker; grandparents Foy and Retha Cox and many other family and friends.
