Andrew Porter “Drew” Wilson, cherished by his family, went to be with Jesus Thursday, August 13, 2015. He was born the son of Jimmy Wilson and Kim (Porter) Russell on June 7, 2001.
Drew, a recent graduate of Longfellow Middle School, was a bright kid who excelled. He was an exceptional math student and was able to help others understand math. Drew enjoyed reading and quoting facts. He enjoyed track, football, and working out. When Drew played defensive safety, he returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown. Drew loved spending time with his family especially watching Oklahoma sunsets and with his friends playing phone games. He was a collector of pens, baseball and football cards. Drew enjoyed listening to 50’s music, the Blues, and would often sing around his family. He was proud of his Native American (Sioux) roots. Drew, a good friend to many, will be remembered for his sense of humor, quiet and respectful nature, love for his family and friends, and also his beautiful smile and great hair.
Drew was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Margaret Russell. His great smile and kind heart will be greatly missed by his mother, Kim Russell and husband, Jeff; his father, Jimmy Wilson and wife Kimberly; brothers and sisters, Brie and Ben Wilson, Riley Russell, and Janson Rowe; grandparents, Judy Magers and husband Woody, Eddie Porter and wife Linda Smith, Marilyn Wilson, and Louis Russell; great grandfather, Harmon Franks; aunts and uncles, Adam and Keri Warmuth, Mindy Magers, Phillip Wilson, and Patricia Wilson and husband Doug Knighton; many cousins and a host of friends.
