Dr. James “Tyler” Pertree, 43, of Moore, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 10, 2021, surrounded by his beautiful wife and mom. Tyler was born on October 5, 1978, to Dr. James Vecent Pertree and Charlotte (Harris) MaGuire.
He grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Christian Heritage Academy. After graduation he pursued an MIS degree from Baylor University and then went on to pursue a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Parker College of Chiropractic. Tyler married the love of his life, Dr Mollie Roam, on Dec. 18, 2004. They had three precious children. Tyler was a master of entrepreneurship. Many have teased him that if you stood next to him long enough, he would have you starting a business of your own. Of all the businesses Tyler started, his first love was being a chiropractor. Tyler thrived on helping and loving his patients well. The Lord blessed Tyler abundantly and allowed him and Mollie to own three chiropractic clinics throughout the metro area. He would often be seen praying with his patients before they left his office. Tyler wasn’t the type to keep his success to himself- there are countless people he helped over the years to turn a friend or family members dream into a reality. He was a member of LifeSpring Church and enjoyed his men’s group, as well as his F3 group. He was a board member of the Oklahoma Chiropractic Association and an executive member as well as a board member of Strawberry Fields which works with Oklahoma City urban development. Tyler was known for his huge smile, infectious laugh, and his love for people.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Dr. James Pertree and his grandma, Elsie Smith.
Tyler is survived by his wife, Mollie; his children Jaiden, Christian, and Jule; his mom, Charlotte MaGuire and her husband Gregg; his sister, Courtney Fisher and her husband Ryan; his brother-in-law, Bryan Roam and his wife Brandi; nephews, Brody and Brodi; nieces, Baylor, Destiny, and Brylee; and his parents-in-law, Gene and Sandy Roam.
Tyler’s family wishes to give a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Norman Regional Hospital for the great care and compassion they gave.
The family would be honored to have you join them for a Celebration of Life service at First Moore Baptist Church, OK, Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at 1:30pm. Flowers may be sent to Tribute Memorial Care, 708 24th Ave. NW, Ste. 300, Norman, OK 73069.
