Douglas Martin “Doug” Combs was born July 13, 1970 in Porto Alegre, Brazil to Jack Carl Combs and Barbara Jean (Taylor) Combs. He passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Colorado Springs, CO.
Doug enjoyed life to its fullest from the time he was a fun loving little boy until he went to be with Jesus. He followed in his parent’s footsteps by traveling around the world as a missionary and teacher. Doug enjoyed meeting new people, getting to see different countries and cultures while documenting them through his photography. He adored his family and was a loyal friend to many people across the globe. He loved sharing a Dr. Pepper, Chinese food, or a large piece of chocolate with anyone. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, wisdom, generosity, and for being a believer.
Survivors include: his parents, Jack and Barbara Combs of Norman; brother, Craig Combs and wife Erin of Norman; three sisters, Jeanine (Combs) Fuller and husband Bryan of Norman, Lisa (Combs) Blashock and husband Dave of Norman, and Kimberly (Combs) Riley of Norman; two nephews, Colin Riley and Gavin Blashock; four nieces, Lauren Blashock, Lindsey Blashock, Reed Fuller, and Amelia Grace Combs.
Doug was preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents, Roy and Ruby Taylor; paternal grandmother, Alice Combs; and niece, Ashley Riley.
