Dorothy Jean “Dot” Duncan was born January 14, 1950 in Elyria, Ohio to Percy Garrett and Carrie Annie (Kidd) Garrett. After high school, Dot married Jay Duncan on April 6, 1968 in Cleveland, Ohio. She and Jay raised two daughters, Cheryl and Kim, who she adored. They made memories as a family by traveling and getting involved in church. She loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren. Dot’s career of 22 years was spent as a self-employed retailer. She passed away peacefully at home with family at her side on August 15, 2019.
Dot was preceded in death by her parents Percy Garrett and Carrie Annie (Kidd) Garrett; husband, Jay Duncan; four sisters, Clois Brown, Clarice Banks, Nila Harmor and Deloris Kvasne; and brother, Dale Garrett.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim Ridner and husband Robbe of Norman, OK and Cheryl Maze and husband Lance of Norman, OK,; two sisters, Faye Mikow and husband John of Collinsville, TX, and Sandy Lawson of Oklahoma City, OK; three grandchildren, Robin Ridner and wife Michelle, Alexandria Maze and Madeline Maze; three great-grandchildren, Summer Ridner, Harper Ridner and Amelia Ridner. She leaves behind many more family & friends, who she dearly loved.
