David V. Williams

David Williams of Norman, OK, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, April 18, 2021, at his home at the age of 70. David was the son of Claude and Tess Williams of Pauls Valley, OK.

He is survived by his wife Lisa Williams; his daughter Melissa McCracken and husband Chris; his son Michael Williams; two grandchildren Emma and Cole David; four sisters, Judy Schiefer and her husband Jack of Salt Lake City, UT, Brenda Lamar of Austin, TX, Elizabeth Williams of Salt Lake City, UT, and Debby Atkinson and husband Ron of De Soto, KS; one brother, John Williams and wife Jane of Edmond, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents. David is also survived by a host of family including eight nieces, nephews, and his team of workers whom he considered his second family.

Born in Pauls Valley in 1950, David graduated from Pauls Valley High School in 1969. David went on to earn a degree in Accounting at The University of Oklahoma. David was president of David Williams Contracting, building custom homes in and around Norman with designs by his wife Lisa. He loved tennis, snow skiing, OU basketball and football, spending time in Turks and Caicos, and traveling with his family. David will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, mentoring, hard work, his laugh and smile, and most of all, his love for his family.
