David Lee Stewart

David Lee Stewart was born in Del Rio, TX on November 13, 1972, to Thomas David Stewart and Dora Elizabeth (Leos) Stewart-Hovey. He battled cancer for the past 3 years and passed from this life at the age of 44 on June 8, 2017 in Oklahoma City.

David maintained a positive attitude throughout his journey with cancer. David was known to have an impeccable work ethic so much so that when his illness became more difficult his work responsibilities changed from primarily outside to inside. This was applauded by his employer and co-workers. David was a caregiver with a passion to help others in need. He was one that liked variety in his life and to experience new things.

David is survived by his father, Tom Stewart and wife Dusty of Sedona, AZ; mother, Betty Stewart-Hovey and husband Dudley Hovey of Oklahoma City; brother, Dan Stewart and wife Leah of Oklahoma City; sister, Sherry Stewart of Mustang, OK; niece, Savannah Goodgion and husband Russell of Oklahoma City; nephews, Aaron Stewart of Mustang, Dane and Drew Stewart of Oklahoma City; great-nephew Noah Goodgion of Oklahoma City and great-nieces, Millie and Felicity Goodgion of Oklahoma City.
