David "Davey" Lee Wilhelm

Wilhelm, David Lee (Davey), age 56 of Norman, Oklahoma passed away October 7, 2020.

David was born September 17, 1964 in Chattanooga, TN; graduated high school from Burns Flat, OK. He attended Oklahoma State University (OSU) where he met his soul mate, Susan, and they married in 1987, and raised 2 beautiful children.

David was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend who enjoyed golfing, hiking, traveling, and watching OSU football. He was known for his leadership, generous heart and selfless spirit. He was a beautiful, loving, humble, fun-loving man who loved God and was always reaching out to people to make sure they knew Jesus and that they had a good relationship with God. His love and generosity overflowed to everyone he met. He brought smiles and laughter wherever he went.

David was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lee Shnell. He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Erica and her fiance’, John O’Dell of Norman, OK; son, Bruce and his fiance’, Lexi of Dallas, TX; mother, Sharon Wilhelm of Cordell, OK; brother, Jeff Wilhelm of North Richland Hills, TX; sister, Gina Harrison of Scottsburg, IN; brother, David LeRoy Wilhelm of Jacksonville, AL; brother, Mikal Wilhelm of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Patricia Oglesby of OKC, OK; sister, Gretta DeSantis of Frankfort, KY; and nephews and nieces. He was considered a son to his in-laws Bryant & Deanna Reeves of Willow, OK and brother to Jennifer Woodward of Norman, OK.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Victory Family Church in Norman, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to WWW.GlobalAction.com (Training Leaders to Change the World With the Gospel of Jesus Christ).
