Dana Scott Hutton

August 28, 1959 — January 20, 2017

Dana Scott Hutton, 57, of Norman passed away on January 20, 2017 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Scott was born in Norman, OK on August 28, 1959 to Richard Allen Hutton, Sr. and Georgia Lee (Moon) Hutton. Scott grew up in Norman and attended Norman Public Schools. He also lived in Washington, OK.

At an early age, Scott had an interest in aviation due to his dad owning and operating Hutton’s Flying Service. Scott would go with his dad to the “hanger” to watch him build and work on the airplanes. Scott’s dad taught him how to fly, as well as his three brothers. Scott also helped flag the field with his brothers when his dad was crop dusting. Scott worked over a combined 35 years in aviation at Caitlin Aviation and The University of Oklahoma Aviation Division.

Besides his love for aviation, Scott shared a love for Harley Davidsons along with two of his brothers and his dad. His mom and dad dated on a Harley Davidson back in the late 1940s! It was meant for him to “ride”. Scott loved to hit the open road with his best friends and brothers, all on their Harley Davidsons, and just ride!

Scott is survived by: two brothers and their families, Gary Hutton and his wife Madge of Oklahoma City and Jason Hutton and Debbie of Norman, and two uncles. He had two nieces and one nephew, numerous cousins, and friends. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Richard (Dick) and Georgia Hutton, and one brother, Rick Hutton.

At Scott’s request, there will be no services.
