Cynthia "Cindy" Frances (Regner) Mcinerney

Cynthia Frances (Regner) McInerney, was born May 27, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois. Cindy was the 3rd child of Dolores (Brochocki) and Richard Regner. She passed away on June 1, 2018 at her home in Norman, Oklahoma, surrounded by family after a valiant struggle with cancer.

Cindy married Michael McInerney in Chicago, Illinois on August 17, 1974. They lived several years together in Illinois before moving to Athens, Georgia in 1979 and then finally making their home in Norman in 1981.

Cindy was a CPA with a B.S. in Accountancy (Univ. of Illinois, Chicago) and an M.B.A. (Univ. of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana). She retired as CFO from CMR, Inc. in Oklahoma City and previously worked as Executive Vice President for BancInsure, Inc. in Oklahoma City, auditor for Seidman and Seidman in Oklahoma City, and St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA and Champaign Co., IL.

Cindy is survived by: her beloved husband Michael McInerney; daughter Mary Schanne and husband Scott of Mannheim, Germany; son Matthew McInerney and wife Jillian of Philadelphia, PA; step-mother Theresa Regner of Oregon, IL; sister Sandra Johnson and husband James of Marco Island, FL; four nieces: Jill Boyce and husband Ken of Massillon, OH, Audrey Howard of Berkeley, CA, Jerilyn Fuller and husband Tyler of Hindsdale, IL, and Melora McInerney of Pamplona, Spain; nephew Todd McInerney of Oak Park, IL; three great-nieces: Chloe Boyce, Emily Doyle, and Vivienne Fuller; and great-nephew John Doyle.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dennis Regner, and nephews Dennis Regner and Scott McInerney of the greater Chicago area.
