Connie Stapleton

Connie Stapleton was born August 12, 1941 to Roy Knoettgen and Gertrude (Smith) Knoettgen. She passed unexpectedly and walked through the gates of Heaven to meet Jesus face to face on July 9, 2021.

She married Delwin Stapleton in 1958 in Sublette, Kansas. Connie’s career was in customer service and much of her time was spent in various positions at Safeway grocery store before retiring in 2011.

Connie is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Pat Weis; sister, Mary Kay Carr; brother, Bob Knoettgen; and grandson, Joe Don Puckett.

She is survived by her son, Kemp Stapleton and wife Brenda of Tuttle, OK; daughter, Sonya Sugg and husband Randy of Norman, OK; daughter, Sharon Puckett and husband Don of Elgin, OK; son, Ricky Stapleton and wife Robyn of Norman, OK; grandsons, Chad Stapleton and wife Nicki, Kent Sugg and wife Thea, and Sawyer Stapleton; granddaughters, Melissa Stapleton, Mindy Williams and husband Roy, Stacey Sugg and fiancé Chris Henry, and Sayre Stapleton; great grandchildren, Ryan McKelvey, Kaven Sugg, Keyton Sugg, Brody Shook, Kenzie Sugg, Tinley Williams, and Anley Stapleton; sister, Rita Allen of Dodge City, KS; too many nieces and nephews to mention, and finally, the Stapleton family that has been her family for 63 years.
