Clydette Hastings

Clydette (Kirk) Hastings was born January 12, 1941 in Norman, Oklahoma to Clyde Beene Kirk and Marie Adaline (Shinaberger) Kirk. She passed away peacefully in Norman and entered Heaven’s gates on January 30, 2022.
She married the love of her life, Carl Hastings on July 17, 1959 at First Baptist Church. They had a son, Kirk and a daughter, Shea. Clydette was a lifelong resident of Norman and was a librarian with the public school system for many years. She also had the privilege of helping her husband with his businesses for years. Clydette enjoyed reading just about anything and always had a book with her and loved gardening. She left us with many memories that we will always cherish.
Clydette was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, Sally Sue Kirk, Martha Ann McMakin and Mary Lou Peltier.
She is survived by her son, Kirk Hastings and his wife, Nancy of Norman; daughter, Shea Steely and husband, Mike of Norman; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hastings of Norman and Abigayle Hastings of Dallas, TX; and a host of family and friends.
