Chris "Buss" Bussum

August 9, 1979 — April 13, 2022

Christopher Andrew “Buss” Bussum, 42, was born on August 9, 1979 in Biloxi, Mississippi to Pete Bussum and Sun Ho (Pae) “June” Bussum. Buss went to his heavenly home on April 13, 2022.

After high school, Chris studied chemical engineering at the University of Oklahoma but then left and began a 23 year career with Norman Door and Plywood. He began as a delivery driver, then outside salesman before finally becoming an assistant manager, he was a wealth of information to employees and customers. He will be remembered for his attention to detail and his ability to fix almost anything. Buss married his high school sweetheart Julie Baker Bussum on January 31, 1997 and together they raised their five children with love and laughter. Buss and his family attended the Trinity Holiness Church in Blanchard for 21 years and then began attending Crosslight Chapel where he enjoyed giving back to many ministries including “Peanut Butter and Jesus”. In addition to his church and family, Chris enjoyed all things food (baking, eating, growing), playing Mario Kart with close friends and his children, Ping Pong (with much trash talk), golf and teaching anyone around him new things. His family and friends will miss the “Bussipedia” for his well-rounded knowledge of many things, especially math. Most of all, Buss will be remembered for his laugh, competitive spirit, devotion, love, attention and big hugs.
