Cayann Patterson

Cayann Patterson was born on October 15, 1967 to parents Jim and Charlotte Patterson in Bryan, Texas. She moved to Dallas, Texas in 1970 where she grew up. She loved horseback riding and competed in equestrian events. She grew up in Dallas attending school in Highland Park and graduating from Summit Christian Academy. She attended Texas A&M University. She then moved to Ames, Iowa where she had her children: Bradley, Ryan, and Ashley. She always said her children were her greatest accomplishments and she was always their biggest fan, be it hockey, cheer, soccer, skateboarding, or anything her kids decided to pursue.
Cayann moved to Norman, Oklahoma in 2000 and became a teaching assistant at Jackson Elementary in 2002, where she worked for 11 years. In 2016 she got her real estate license and became a realtor for Don Cies in Norman, OK. Some of her hobbies included renovating homes, working cows, and running. Cayann’s passion for things she enjoyed was infectious and she often managed to convince her children or closest friends to accompany her in running marathons, whether they wanted to or not! Cayann’s first of many marathon finishes was at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon in 2011.
She loved animals: horses, cows, and especially her Chihuahuas: Bruiser, Po, and Thumbelina. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends…at the lake, on the farm, or at the Mont…the location didn’t matter, but being with family and friends did!
Cayann is survived by: her mother, Charlotte Patterson; two sons, Bradley Roth and Ryan Roth; daughter Ashley Roth; two brothers, John and James Patterson and their spouses and children of Dallas, Texas; as well as many extended family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Patterson, and her grandparents, William K. and Odessa Burgess and Jesse and Hassie Lou Patterson.
