Carolyn Fay Dobbins

January 18, 1948 — November 28, 2022

Carolyn Fay Dobbins was born January 18, 1948, in Longview, Texas to James Clyde Alexander and Laura Fay (Potts) Alexander. She passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2022.


She graduated from Talco High School and went on to earn her nursing degree from Texas Eastern School of Nursing in Tyler, TX. She then began her nursing career in the private sector. Carolyn made the decision to join the United States Air Force and achieved the rank of Captain while fulling her duties as a nurse in the armed forces. After her honorable discharge from the United States Air Force, she returned to the private sector to continue her work as a registered nurse. Throughout her life, Carolyn continued learning as shown by her earning an MBA degree.


She was an animal lover, especially cats, and liked collecting porcelain dolls and angels. Carolyn enjoyed traveling, going to Europe in her college days and later visiting Egypt and Italy.


Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mike Alexander. She is survived by her brothers, James Alexander Jr. and wife Crystal of McGregor, TX, Ben Alexander and wife Suzanna of Coffman, TX; two nephews; and two nieces.


Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 6th at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
