Billie G. Williams was born June 12, 1950 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Bill and Faye Williams. He was born prematurely and was a fighter from day one. He was an only child born to his parents, but he had many brothers throughout his time at Oklahoma Military Academy and the Norman Fraternal Order of Police.
He passed away at his home in Noble, Oklahoma, surrounded by family and friends. He graduated from Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore Oklahoma, later joining the United States Air Force. Billie later became Norman Police Master Patrolman. He enjoyed his time on the force and retired from NPD in 1984. He was then employed by The Bank of Oklahoma, retiring in 2009.
Billie always believed in faith, family, and friends. He enjoyed a love of cars, motorcycles, football, and drag racing. He also loved music and as a cadet at OMA was in the band where he played the trumpet. He was also the original grill master and loved to cook for his family and friends. Billie attended both the annual reunions as well as the Padre Island reunions for many, many years. Even while he was under hospice care he returned to Claremore just two weeks ago for one last reunion. He received the Perseverance Award, which he truly deserved.
The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation to the Life Springs Hospice team for the attentive, loving care they provided Billie in his final days.
