Betty Lucille Balfour-Grice was born October 26, 1928 in Exeter, Missouri to William Wayne and Laura Cora Cole. She passed away at her home in Norman, OK on Saturday, January 4, 2020.
She retired from the Norman Post Office after 23 years as a window clerk. Betty was a woman of many talents and interests. She was a skilled seamstress who could sew prom dresses, curtains, and costumes. She crocheted afghans and baby blankets. She loved gardening, especially flowers. She enjoyed playing games from card games like bridge to bingo to jigsaw puzzles. Betty was a fun-loving person who cherished spending time with her family and friends. She would cook and bake for Sunday dinners.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Arthur of Lebanon, TN and Pam Hayhow and husband Jim of Olathe, KS; two sons, David Balfour-Grice and wife Jerria of Norman, OK and Bill Balfour-Grice of Moore, OK; seven grandchildren, Chris Arthur and wife Christina, Ben Balfour-Grice and wife Laura, William Arthur and wife Fayrial, Chelsea Hartley and husband Owen, Kristen Balfour-Grice, Garrett Hayhow, and Tanner Hayhow; eight great-grandchildren, Halley, Collin Arthur, Aurora, Avery, Kyndall, Madeline, Elizah, and Harper; and great-great granddaughter, Ryleigh.
Betty was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Harold Jones and Virgil Balfour-Grice; and son, Marlin Balfour-Grice; and grandson, Seth Hayhow.
