Amber Lynn Dunlevy, 53, of Norman passed away Friday, October 7th, 2022. She was born February 24th, 1969 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Jimmie Ray Kragh and Gwendolyn Sue Rowe-Kragh.
After birth Amber moved with her family to the Grady County area graduating from Chickasha Highschool in 1987. After high school Amber attended the University of Oklahoma where she was an active member of the Delta Gamma Sorority and was the chapter president her senior year. While a Junior, Amber was recognized as a top 10 Junior in the class of 1993. She earned her degree in Radiation Therapy at the OU Health Sciences Center in OKC. While at college she met her husband Christopher Edwin Dunlevy of Oklahoma City and they married in 1993. They had 2 sons, Nicholas Kragh and Nathaniel Warren Holland.
Amber worked for Norman Regional Hospital in the Cancer Management Center and just recently celebrated 30 years of service. She finished her work as a Dosimetrist in the Department over the last 20 years of her career. She cultivated many deep and lasting relationships with her coworkers. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church and then Wildwood Church both in Norman, Oklahoma.
In her free time Amber enjoyed many things. Decorating and rehabbing furniture, working in the yard and garden, raising kids, and taking care of her cats and dog. She was also an active participant in Relay for Life and volunteered with the organization for many years.
Amber also enjoyed the company of good friends from many circles, supporting her children in various sporting endeavors, and working on her own sporting activities. She participated in many bicycle endurance races, and just last year after taking some time off trained for the Hotter than Hell and competed and finished a 100 mile race with only 6 weeks training. She was an active walker, usually walking up to 4 miles over lunch every single day.
Amber enjoyed vacationing with family and friends in the mountains of Colorado and the beaches of Florida, and was always open to new destinations and new adventures wherever it took her.
She loved all of her family and friends with all of her heart and often over did it with them because that is just who she was.
She is survived by her husband, Chris of the home; sons, Nicholas of Norman and Nathaniel of the home;
her father, Jimmie Ray and her sister, Crystal Krey and husband Doug, all of Rush Springs;
sister-in-law, Jennifer Kragh of Krum, Texas; nieces and nephews, Justin Kragh, Mason and Reagan Krey, Drew and Samantha Arledge.
Amber is also survived by some special sisters known as The Sugar Bowls whose friendship spanned over 40 years. Misti, Michelle, Trisha, Kimmi, and Angie.
Amber is preceded in death by mother, Gwendolyn Sue Kragh; brother, Jeffrey Ray Kragh; a special sister, Laura of Norman.
