Walter “Jerry” Dobry

Walter Jerome “Jerry” Dobry, Jr. was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Walter Jerome Dobry, Sr. and Patricia Kay (Hankins) Dobry on September 25, 1958. He passed at the age of 60 on April 12, 2019.

Jerry was employed by ADT Security Services for 15 plus years before retiring as Sales Manager. He loved all sports, especially golf and fishing, and he thoroughly enjoyed family golfing trips to North Carolina and fishing rivers and lakes in Tennessee. It was not uncommon to find Jerry in his chair in front of the TV watching golf. Going to the beaches in Alabama, Charleston, South Carolina, or the Outer Banks of North Carolina also brought a tremendous amount of joy to his life.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Walter Jerome Dobry, Sr. He is survived by: mother Patricia Langley of Norman; brother Brian Dobry and wife Tammy of Norman; sisters Shelly Connolly and husband William of Norman, Kaye Pena and husband David of Edmond, and Kelly Lynn and husband John of Norman; as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jerry’s family has entrusted his care to Tribute Memorial Care of Norman (405.292.4787). Services will be held 8:30 am, Saturday, April 27th, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Norman (1913 N. Porter).
