James E Moody

James (Jim) Moody, Sooner born on May 18, 1954 in Norman, OK. Jim passed peacefully after a long hard fought battle with cancer. A devoted family man, Jim is survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Jenny Bryan, son Jeff Moody & wife Lindsey. 6 grandkids who proudly called him Poppa; Gracey, Andey, Tate, Porter (Bubba), Dexter & Nellie. His four legged pals, Daytona & Penny, step brothers, Greg Bryant & Mark Bryant. Many special cousins and extended family.
Jim graduated from The University of Oklahoma in 1977. After graduation he started a career in the grocery business working for Tyler Simpson, Scrivner & Fleming. Later moving on to the food service broker business working for Fidler Marketing & Kelley Brokerage. After leaving food service Jim was self-employed with Moody Scoreboards.
Jim never met a stranger. He had an infectious smile, gave love freely, always reserved judgement and was a friend to all. His passion for OU Football and tailgating was contagious. Each year a new tent was added to accommodate new friends. He’s now at peace, having left a remarkable legacy. Boomer Sooner!
