George Joseph Kenney Jr.

George Joseph Kenney, Jr. was born February 23, 1953 to George Joseph Kenney, Sr. and Violet Ruth (Davies) Kenney in Queens, New York. He passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016 in Norman, OK.

George proudly served on the U.S.S. Inchon in the United States Navy before he was honorably discharged on May 2, 1974. After serving his country, George married the love of his life, Lillian Janette Villao, on November 30, 1974 in Queens, New York. George and Lillian were blessed with two sons Bobby and Jeff. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was extremely proud of them. When George wasn’t doting over his family he enjoyed watching old Army movies, the History Channel, and keeping up with politics and current events. George had a long career in financial institutions and for the last few years has worked at the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Kenney of Norman; two sons, Bobby Kenney of Dallas, TX and Jeff Kenney of Norman, OK; one sister, Linda Morgan and husband Charles of Midwest City, OK.

George was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tommy Kenney.
