Bruce Franklin Starzer was born on November 25, 1936 to Carl and Georgetta (Larsh) Starzer in Norman, OK. He passed away August 9, 2016 in Norman. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Katherine Imhoff, Shirley Starzer, and Robert Starzer.
He is survived by son Kenneth Wayne Starzer, daughter-in-law Laura Gail Starzer, and grandson Holden Franklin Starzer, all of Carrollton, Texas.
Surviving nieces and nephews include Christine Imhoff, Alan Imhoff, Steve Imhoff, Linda Cornelison, and Donna Todd, as well as many great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
After graduating from Norman High School in 1955, he served for three years in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He worked as a bridge inspector for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, from which he retired in 1991. After retirement he periodically worked as a driver for Reynolds Ford in Norman.
Throughout his life he enjoyed creating art. Bruce enjoyed treasure hunting at estate sales. After retirement he enjoyed traveling to Chicago and Estes Park, CO.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Cleveland County Historical Society.
