Brian Christopher Bent went to be with our Lord on April 27, 2022. Brian was born on February 8, 1985 to John and Sandra Bent in Reno, NV. Brian grew up in Norman, Oklahoma and loved his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, SCUBA diving, camping, wakeboarding, snow skiing and eSports.

After graduating from Norman North High School in 2003, he attended the University of Oklahoma earning a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering in 2007 and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering in 2010.

During his career with Northrop Grumman in Oklahoma, Maryland and Florida, Brian worked on a variety of projects, including the B-2 Spirit, F-35 Lightning II, and the B-21 Raider.

In 2020, he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and passed away at MD Anderson Cancer Center in April 2022.

Brian was a friend to many and had great compassion, a quick wit, and a vivacious personality. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and his many contributions to the aircraft he believed vital to our country.

Brian is survived by his parents John and Sandra Bent; sister Brittany Bent Dillenback; sister Kimberly Ellison; nieces Riley Ellison, Karsyn Ellison, Emma Dillenback; nephews Ashton Ellison, Robert George Dillenback IV and John Wesley Dillenback; and his grandmother Virginia Sharp.

The Brian Bent Memorial Scholarship was established at the University of Oklahoma-Gallogly College of Engineering to promote the development of future generations with similar passions in aerospace engineering.
